CHNC challenge 129: frame, window or aperture

Oh what a lovely selection of cards for last week's challenge 128. I find it so inspirational visiting your blogs and admiring your crafting. Thank you so much for your support of these challenges. I hope you like today's new challenge.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winners of challenge 128. There were, of course, three opportunities to win a prize.

The first winner:

Number 5: Liselot, who shared this lovely card:

The second winner:

Congratulations, Fabiola. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to receive your $20 voucher from  Flonz craft.

The third winner:

Number 13: Meighan Wheller, who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Meighan. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com with your full name and address so that I can post your prize that was donated by Mulberry Crafts.

Now on to:
Challenge 129

For today's challenge I'd like to see a frame, a window or an aperture on your Christmas card

The first sponsor today is Creative Treasures

I’m Tracy and the owner of Creative Treasures, we are a family run business with a love of all things craft related. We stock a great range of mulberry flowers, pretty ribbons, seam binding, lace, pearls, buttons, charms and lots of pretty embellishments. We are always adding new stock.  Our aim is to provide fantastic customer service and great value for money.

This is the prize that will be sent to the randomly chosen winner:

The second sponsor is  Shelly's images who are once again generously giving a $9 gift certificate to the randomly chosen winner for him/her to choose from the lovely range you will find here.

'Our images are hand drawn by Shelly. We have a super talented family, so every now and then they jump in with an image. Any image that is not drawn by Shelly will have the artists name in the product description.

Digital stamps are perfect for card making, scrap booking, and crafting. The images are easy to re-size and perfect because they don't require any storage space and there is no messy ink and clean up.  If you have any questions about using digital stamps please be sure to send us an email.

Shelly's images are designed with the crafter in mind. She has been a paper crafter for more than 15 years.'

The third sponsor is  Bearly mine designs:

They are offering a £10 gift voucher for the randomly chosen winner. As well as many lovely designs to purchase, there are some wonderful freebies too at Bearly mine designs.

Please visit the websites of these generous sponsors and support them -
you will be spoiled for choice!

For this card I've simply used a Hunkydory topper that shows a house with lights in the windows - you can read more about it here on My Crafty Outlook:

And for this card I've used a folded step card, some card, borders and sentiment from Kanban and a picture that has an acetate window over it so that it is slightly rounded in the middle. You can read more about it here.

Most of the picture is on the card underneath, bt the paper chains and holly are also on the acetate. You can read more about it here.

And this card uses a digital insert kindly supplied as part of a Christmas inserts digi set from Bearly Mine Designs - I've used it for the front of a card instead of an insert - you can read about these next two cards here on My Crafty Outlook:

And another, with an aperture using another insert as a card front - again, supplied by Bearly Mine Designs.

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card. - this week I'd like to see a frame, a window or an aperture on your card - it can be as simple as making sure there is a house with a window on your card.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 21 June. Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on Saturday 22 June when there will once again be three chances to win a prize, thanks to generous sponsors.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Don't forget

Don't forget that 'anything goes' monthly challenges are on my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra blog - you can share any Christmas card you make throughout the whole month, including those that you link here - there is no restriction on the number of entries you can make throughout the month - the link for CHNC challenge extra for June is here.

Thank you for your support
I look forward to seeing your entries
