CHNC challenge 70: any greeting/sentiment without the word 'Christmas'

What a fabulous response for challenge 69 last week - you certainly piled on the layers on your fantastic cards. Thank you everyone for your support of this little blog - you make it what it is! And it's lovely to see that there are new people beginning to come on board to make a start with Christmas cards. It's never too early or too late!And some of you are building up quite a stash of Christmas cards - notably, Catherine, who showed us thirteen cards altogether - it's no wonder she was all layered out!

Challenge 70

For today's challenge I'm asking you to include a greeting/sentiment on your Christmas card, but wihout the word 'Christmas'

And for this week's challenge Lili of the Valley are giving a £10 voucher to spend in their online store to the randomly chosen winner. I'm sure that most of you are familiar with their lovely stamps and die cuts - just click on the link to see the fabulous range that they have.

For my card I've used offcuts of My Mind's Eye Glitter paper and the sketch given for Christmas challenges with sketches 25. You can read more about my card here on my regular crafting blog My Crafty Outlook.

This is another card I've made today that doesn't mention the word 'Christmas' - you can read more about it on My Crafty Outlook here. This card really is black, white with a bit of red, but for some reason here the white looks pinkish, but IRL it is definitely WHITE.

Challenge 69

For today's challenge I'm asking you to use lots of layers (at least three) on your Christmas card.

Today's challenge is 'white Christmas' - I'll leave the interpretation up to you - you might want to go for a 'white on white' theme or a snow scene ... whatever 'white Christmas' makes you think of.

This is a little bit about Di who produces such gorgeous digital images:

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

For my card I've used a Di's digi download called 'to both of you', coloured it with copics and mounted on to white pearlised card which was then mounted on to a piece of white embossed with a dots embossing folder  - you can read more about my card on my regular crafting blog My Crafty Outlook here.

CHNC challenge 66: Get sentimental

A big thank you to all the faithful Christmas crafters who entered last week's challenge. I think the lovely UK sunshine has made some abandon thoughts of making Christmas cards, but it's quite scary to note that a quarter of the year has now gone and it's less than nine months till Christmas day. Perhaps the cooler weather that's supposed to be coming back to the UK after the weekend will turn our thoughts once more to making Christmas cards. Now I have a confession to make - well a couple, really - I made my card Friday afternoon (which is early for me - lol!) because I need to get sorted for my card sale tomorrow (not feeling well again, so that's not making it easier), so I used the sketch for Saturday sketch 18, forgetting that by the time my challenge goes live their challenge will be closed - so I decided to break with tradition and post this earlier, only to find that Saturday sketch 18 has already closed - d'oh!
