CHNC challenge 152: for a child

Thank you for another super week of festive cards - I just love visiting and seeing what you've all been making for the challenges.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winners of challenge 151. There were, of course, four sponsors and even more opportunities to win a prize.

Please note that I publish the prize winners here and on our facebook page, but don't notify winners individually - it is up to you all to check to see if you have won and email me as requested.

The first winner:

Number 23: Lucy Patrick, who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Lucy. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com with your full address so that I can arrange for you to receive your three packs of die cuts from Crimson Cloud.

The second winner:

Number 4: JoAnn B, who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations,.JoAnn Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to receive your four digital images from Delicious Doodles.

The third winner:

Congratulations, Vanessa. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to receive your £10 voucher from Crafter's Companion.

Now on to:
Challenge 152

For today's challenge please make any Christmas cards that would be suitable to give to a child

The first sponsor is Whoopsi Daisy:

'Whoopsi Daisy Digi Stamps features all hand drawn images by the amazing Linnie and specialises in cute images of children. Whoopsi Daisy offers a great deal for your money. Take a look at the Whoopsi Daisy shop where you are certain to find awesome images which will fit all your creative needs.'

The randomly chosen winner will receive their choice of two sheets from Linnie's Whoopsi Daisy shop.

The second sponsor is Tando Creative:

'We supply our own unique range of chipboard designs that are both innovative and inspiring. We have now added masks to our range of products cut from sturdy and durable 350 micron polyfilm.

We offer a complete bespoke design and cut package for chipboard or we can cut products to your digital designs.'

Tando Creative will be sending the randomly chosen winner a prize package.

The third sponsor is Paper Creator:

'Paper Creator is an online store selling card making downloads, printable crafts & Sassy Cheryl's coloured illustrations.

We also now stock Sassy Cheryl's brand new rubber stamp range which are exclusive to us here in the UK.'

Paper Creator are offering the randomly chosen winner a £10 voucher to be spent in their online store.

Please visit the websites of these generous sponsors and support them -
you will be spoiled for choice!

My first card is one that I've made for my contribution for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 4: buttons. This is a relatively new challenge blog that I've had the pleasure of joining from the beginning and I thought it would be nice to show my card here as it is certainly a Christmas card suitable to give to a child. It would be lovely if you could support Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 4 by making a card that includes the use of buttons - and, of course, it doesn't have to be a Christmas card, although it can be if you wish That challenge is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish, which is why I included their 'Carl the snowman' on my card. There is more info about this card on My Crafty Outlook here:

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week I'm asking you to make a card that is suitable to give to a child - for a baby, boy, girl, even a teenager.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 29 November. Please include a link to this blogpost within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish - I think we all need to increase our stock at this time of the year - and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on Saturday 30 November when there will once again be three chances to win a prize, thanks to generous sponsors.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you. Also it would be great if you would consider becoming a follower - lovely to welcome recent new followers and 'likers' on facebook.

Please also consider going to CHNC Facebook page and clicking 'like' - there are now 234 'likes' - it would be great if we could increase this before the end of the year. I always show at least one of my cards for the next challenge in advance and it's a good place to catch up with any news, winners etc.

Don't forget

Don't forget that 'anything goes' monthly challenges are on my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra blog - you can share any Christmas card you make throughout the whole month, including those that you link here - there is no restriction on the number of entries you can make throughout the month - the link for CHNC challenge extra for November is here. And there's also a Design Team Call until the end of the month.

Thank you for your support
I look forward to seeing your entries

  9. Hi Hazel, what a lovely challenge this week ... I find that I don't make enough Christmas cards for children so this is a timely reminder to do just that. Congrats to last week's winners and thanks for the fabulous inspiration. Elizabeth xx
