CHNC challenge 61: use a ribbon and/or a charm

Once again this week there were lots of lovely entries with Christmas scenes - thank you so much for making this little challenge blog successful with your entries - lovely to see 'regular' contributors joining in as well as new ones too.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 60. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 4:  *Jellie*
who shared this beautiful card:

Congratulations, Jellie! Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to claim your Digi Doodle Shop gift certificate.

Now we move on to today's challenge:

Challenge 61

For today's challenge I'm asking you to use a ribbon and/or charm on your Christmas card.

When I say 'ribbon' I really mean anything that comes on a spool, so it would be OK to use twine, lace, ric rac or anything similar. And it's your choice whether you use a charm - either instead of the ribbon or in addition.

The prize this week for the randomly selection winner has been kindly donated by:
who have generously provided this super selection of charms:

5 x Christmas stockings
5 x Christmas trees
5 x reindeers
5 x snowflakes 1
2 stars
3 snowflakes 3

For my cards I've used Anna Griffin material. You can see the cards on my regular crafting blog My Crafty Outlook here and see the other challenges I entered with them.

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week use a ribbon or similar and/or a charm.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 2 March. Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 3 March.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

  5. Hi Hazel, I don't know how I did it but even after a couple of days being poorly I've still managed to get this card submitted early ... well, early for me :)) Your cards are lovely, I particularly like the gold/white one - the ribbon is gorgeous. Hope you like my card, it was, of necessity, quick and easy but I enjoyed the challenge, it got me into the swing of things again. Elizabeth x
