CHNC challenge 393

I have blog candy here - why not take a look, tell others and link to try and win it.

Before I tell you about this week's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 392:

Please note that my email to send to is craftyhazelnut@gmail.com

Number 46: Katrina Bufton, with this lovely card:

Congratulations, Katrina. Please email me at craftyhazelnut@gmail.com with your full name and address so I can post your Die'sire wrought iron set of dies.

Please note that winner needs to claim the prize by 21 July (2 weeks)

Every CHNC challenge is 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas', which will, hopefully, encourage as many crafters as possible to join in with their festive creations. However, there will always be an optional theme, which this week is 'use some twine or ribbon'. I want to stress that this is purely optional.

Challenge 393:

anything goes as long as it's Christmas
optional theme: use some twine or ribbon

Every week I give a prize to a randomly chosen winner - this is the prize for this challenge (another one generously donated by our team member, Myrna):

Totally Tropical
Die, stamps & embossing folder set

Before I show the designs of the team I have some special news. Thanks for all those who answered the DT call. I'm pleased to welcome four new Christmas crafters to the team:

Cass

Hi, my name is Carol, AKA Cass (in blogland) and I live in Australia. I've been crafting in one form or another since a very early age, thanks to my Mum who taught me basic needlework stitches at the age of 4. I do a lot of different crafts including papermaking, journaling, drawing and digital artwork, I've even been known to do a bit of leadlighting along the way as well. I'll try anything new I see and regularly check out utube and tutorials. I am lucky enough to be on a number of Design Teams, where I always find great inspiration from my team members. Hop over to my blog https://casscreatingnow.blogspot.com and check out some of my creations, I don't do real fancy, but on the other hand I love collage.

Margaret

I am 73 and live in Sydney, Australia with my husband Tony. I have two daughters and four granddaughters. My granddaughters and all their friends call me Granmargaret.
I started stamping and making cards in 1995 and started scrapbooking about 1999 and making ATCs in 2005. I am still a cute stamper and make simple cards. My favourite colours are purples and pinks. I started my blog in April 2012 with the help of cyber friends and started joining challenges to give me ideas for my cards and then was happy to be invited to join some design teams. I have lots of rubber and clear stamps but use mostly digital stamps now as they are easier on my sore hands. I am group Mum on some yahoo stamping groups
I suffer from fibromyalgia and arthritis and have eye problems so spend my days making cards, a little scrapbooking and talking to my cyber friends on the internet. This helps take my mind off the pain.
I have made many more cyber friends since starting my blog.
My eldest daughter Lynda and I are cancer survivors and we thank God for every day and for all our friends who pray for us.
I was happy to be invited to be on the design team for Crafty Hazelnut’s Monthly Christmas challenge and look forward to working with Hazel and the design team.

Here are the cards from myself and the rest of my team:

Now it's over to you. You can use any materials, any techniques - it's anything goes as long as it's Christmas, with the optional 'use some twine or ribbon'.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your creation can be found) by 20:00 UK time Friday 13 July 2018. Please include a link to this blogpost within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on Saturday 14 July 2018 at 09:00 UK time.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Please also consider going to CHNC Facebook page and clicking 'like' if you haven't done so already and encourage your friends to do the same.

I also run a challenge blog called Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - anything goes as long as you use some patterned paper - with a randomly chosen prize winner every month. Please click on the link to find out more. If you have used patterned paper for your Christmas creation (if you haven't followed the optional theme this week, of course), please enter it there too. And please be aware that the Patterned Paper Challenge is not restricted to Christmas - it is for any occasions as long as some patterned paper has been used.

Thank you for your support
We look forward to seeing your entries

Big apology that this week's linky isn't showing thumbnails. I don't know why it switched to text only - I tried to change it, but that's not possible.
