CHNC challenge 343

Thank you for all your lovely entries for last week's challenge - such a lot of entries! Please keep that Christmas stash out and make something this week and share your entries - I look forward to seeing them. I've had a very busy week and apologise if I didn't get round to commenting on your entries ... I will try my hardest to get these done today.

Update: I've spent ages this morning catching up with commenting ... I so wish that Blogger would believe that I'm not a robot - lol! - I hope I've commented on everyone from last week - it certainly was a bumper lot of entries ... hope to see lots for this week.

Before I tell you about this week's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 342.
Please note that my email to send to is craftyhazelnut@gmail.com

Number 104: Donna R, with this lovely Christmas bag:

Congratulations, Donna. Please email me at craftyhazelnut@gmail.com with your full name and address so I can arrange for you to claim your Todo 9 die template set basic rectangles.

Please note that winner needs to claim the prize by 5 August (2 weeks)

Every CHNC challenge is 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas', which will, hopefully, encourage as many crafters as possible to join in with their festive creations. However, there will always be an optional theme, which this week is 'use an embossing folder'. I want to stress that this is purely optional.

Challenge 343:
anything goes as long as it's Christmas
optional theme: use an embossing folder

Every week I will be giving a prize to a randomly chosen winner - this is the prize for this challenge:

Crafter's Companion Embossalicious Daisy Chain
decorative 8 x 8 embossing folder

For my card I used a Delicious Doodles image called snowy postbox, colouring just the post box with a red spectrum noir pen, using a blender to make it look a bit old in places. I used a piece of holographic red mirror card with small stars all over it and ran it through an embossing folder by Embossalicious called 'let it snow'. You can see my card here on My Crafty Outlook:

Now it's over to you. You can use any materials, any techniques - it's anything goes as long as it's Christmas, with the optional theme of 'use an embossing folder'.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your creation can be found) by 20:00 UK time Friday 28 July 2017. Please include a link to this blogpost within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on Saturday 29 July 2017 at 09:00 UK time.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Please also consider going to CHNC Facebook page and clicking 'like' if you haven't done so already and encourage your friends to do the same.

Don't forget that 'anything goes' monthly challenges are on my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra blog (these are still being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps with a prize of four digital images for the randomly chosen winner each month) - you can share any Christmas creation you make throughout the whole month, including those that you link here - there is no restriction on the number of entries you can make throughout the month - the link for CHNC challenge extra for July is here.

I also run a challenge blog called Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - anything goes as long as you use some patterned paper - with a randomly chosen prize winner every month. Please click on the link to find out more. If you have used patterned paper for your Christmas creation (if you haven't followed the optional theme this week, of course), please enter it there too. And please be aware that the Patterned Paper Challenge is not restricted to Christmas - it is for any occasions as long as some patterned paper has been used.

Thank you for your support
I look forward to seeing your entries

  2. Hazel, I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention to the date. My card was posted yesterday, which is before this challenge started. Will you please remove it for me? Thanks so much! I did enter it in the Christmas Challenge Extra, though. xxD

  3. Hazel, your posting about word verification made me wonder if my blog requires that. So... I did some checking and discovered that it did! Googled how to turn it off and did that in a few quick steps. Am posting the link here in case any other participants in your challenges want to do the same. And... thanks for hanging in there and posting comments. They are very much appreciated... as are your challenges! http://www.twelveskip.com/tutorials/blogger/1317/turn-off-captcha-on-blogger
