CHNC challenge 144: use three main colours

It has been great to see so many gorgeous cards using stamped images and sentiments. It's been a bit of a crazy week for me, so I'm sorry that I was a bit slow leaving comments for some of you, but I don't think I missed anyone out. It's been lovely to see some new crafters joining us and thank you to my new followers on here and on Facebook.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winners of challenge 143. There were, of course, three opportunities to win a prize.

The first winner:

Number 55: Carol, who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Carol. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com with your full name and address so I can arrange for you to receive your £20 of goods from Craftybren's Embroidered Embellishments.

The second winner:

Number 47: Joyce, who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Joyce. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to receive your selection of card topper packs from Cardmaker's Delights to the value of £25.

The third winner:

Number 61: Helen, who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Helen. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so that I can arrange for you to receive your £10 gift voucher from Stamp Addicts.

Now on to:
Challenge 144

For today's challenge I'd like you to use three main colours

The first sponsor is Crafty Poodles, who will be giving £10 worth of goodies to the randomly chosen winner.

'For all your crafting needs. Items include, lace, flowers, ribbons, pins, fold-over elastic, fabric, buttons, charms and more!'

The second sponsor is Shelly's images who are once again generously giving a $9 gift certificate to the randomly chosen winner for him/her to choose from the lovely range you will find here.

'Our images are hand drawn by Shelly. We have a super talented family, so every now and then they jump in with an image. Any image that is not drawn by Shelly will have the artists name in the product description.

Digital stamps are perfect for card making, scrap booking, and crafting. The images are easy to re-size and perfect because they don't require any storage space and there is no messy ink and clean up.  If you have any questions about using digital stamps please be sure to send us an email.

Shelly's images are designed with the crafter in mind. She has been a paper crafter for more than 15 years.'

The third sponsor is Stamp and Create:

'Stamp and Create is an online store based in the US with shipping worldwide. We have a wide range of rubber stamps at the lowest prices around! We carry stamps from: Magnolia, Wild Rose Studio, Saturated Canary, High Hopes Rubber Stamps, CC Designs, The Greeting Farm, Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamps and more. We have a weekly candy giveaway, a Monthly Challenge, and a bi-weekly Magnolia Challenge!! We would love for you to check us out on Facebook as well!'

The randomly chosen winner will receive a $20 voucher to spend in the Stamp and Create online store.

Please visit the websites of these generous sponsors and support them -
you will be spoiled for choice!

For my card I've used red, blue and beige (as well as some white, which doesn't count!) - papers are Echo Park 'winter wishes', Express Yourself stickers, a strip of angel hair and some East of India ribbon - more info here on My Crafty Outlook:

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card. - this week please use three main colours.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 4 October. Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on Saturday 5 October when there will once again be three chances to win a prize, thanks to generous sponsors.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you. Also it would be great if you would consider becoming a follower - lovely to welcome recent new followers - I can't believe there are now 600!

Please also consider going to CHNC Facebook page and clicking 'like' - there are now over 200 'likes' - it would be great if we could increase this soon. I always show at least one of my cards for the next challenge in advance and it's a good place to catch up with any news, winners etc.

Don't forget

Don't forget that 'anything goes' monthly challenges are on my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra blog - you can share any Christmas card you make throughout the whole month, including those that you link here - there is no restriction on the number of entries you can make throughout the month - the link for CHNC challenge extra for October is here.

Thank you for your support
I look forward to seeing your entries

  1. Another great challenge Hazel! Love your card - wonder if I ought to know Len a sweater like that for Christmas :)

Can I ask, is white counted as a colour - ie. with two other colours? Or, would you like three distinct colours?

    Hugs, Di xx
