CHNC challenge 118: based on a Christmas carol or song

Thank you for all the wonderful entries for last week's challenge - such a variety of 'threes' that you came up with - once again, thanks for your support - I hope you will like today's challenge.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winners of challenge 117. There were, of course, three opportunities to win a prize.

Now on to:
Challenge 118

For today's challenge I'd like you to base your Christmas card
on a carol or song of your choice

Our first sponsor today is Ooh la la Creations - a randomly-chosen winner will be able to choose a CD-rom of their choice - and there are so many wonderful ones to choose from.

The second sponsor is Flonz craft, a New Zealand based company who are offering a $20 voucher to spend in their online store - and they will generously send to anywhere in the world with free p & p.They have an amazing range of stamps - the winner certainly will have fun choosing, including some lovely Christmas ones that you could then use for a future challenge.

Our third sponsor is Cedar Chest Designs:

Digital Supplies for the Craft World
Cedar Chest Designs offers quality products, bulk discounts, instant downloads and teacher benefits on digital stamps, digital scrpabooking images and a variety of other digital craft supplies from over a dozen unique artists.Winners will receive a free $10.00 Gift Certificate to purchase anything they would like from the online store.

Please visit the websites of these generous sponsors and support them -
you will be spoiled for choice!

For my first card I have used a 'Christmas holly' image kindly supplied by Cedar Chest Designs, basing the card on a Christmas song that is probably not very well known - you can read more about it on My Crafty Outlook here:

For my second card I've used a lovely candelight stamp kindly supplied by Flonz craft based on a Christmas carol that is probably less known than the previous one - again, you can read more on My Crafty Outlook here:

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card. - this week please base your card on a Christmas carol or song - a very familiar one or one not so well-known - the choice is yours.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 5 April. Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on Saturday 6 April when there will once again be three chances to win a prize, thanks to generous sponsors.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added. As we change the clocks this weekend in the UK please bear with me if I get the finishing time wrong - I'll adjust it if it becomes necessary.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Don't forget that 'anything goes' monthly challenges are on my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra blog - you can share any Christmas card you make throughout the whole month, including those that you link here - there is no restriction on the number of entries you can make throughout the month. Until tomorrow, 31 March the link is here (yes, anything made for this challenge for the first two days can still be added to CHNC challenge extra for March), thereafter, the link for CHNC challenge extra for April is here.

Thank you for your support
I look forward to seeing your entries

  7. Hi Hazel, my Twinkle, Twinkle card is linked as you suggested. Wasn't sure 'cos although it's a song I didn't think it was totally specific to Christmas. I have another one which is definitely Christmas to link tomorrow :)
