CHNC challenge 91: nativity

What a wonderful display of fun and games for last week's challenge.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 90. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number  7: Kath
who shared this beautiful card:

Congratulations, Kath! Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to claim your $10 gift certificate from Digi Doodle Shop.

Now we move on to today's challenge:

Challenge 91

For today's challenge I'm asking you to make a card depicting some facet of the nativity - Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus, the shepherds, the wise men ... or just words that reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

And this week's challenge is being sponsored by The Crafty Pad, who are offering 3 single digi images to the randomly-chosen prize winner.

I am so grateful to all the sponsors who are so generous with their support.

For today's challenge I'm really pleased to welcome Helen as a Guest Designer:

Helen writes:

'My name is Helen and I'm a card making addict who loves stamping and Promarkers.    My style is 'clean and simple' and I love cute character stamps and digis.  I teach regular card making classes and am also lucky enough to be part of the Design Teams for three companies as well as designing for two challenge blogs.'

Helen has made this beautiful card - you can read more about it on her blog here - please visit and leave Helen a comment. Thank you so much, Helen, for joining me.

I've had a difficult week, so, at the last minute, my card is made using elements from a Hunkydory 'elegant Christmas' kit 'three kings' with the addition of a couple of sentiments that happened to be in my stash that match beautifully with the peachy colour, all mounted on a stardream card blank - more details here on My Crafty Outlook:

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week please make a card depicting some facet of the nativity - Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus, the shepherds, the wise men ... or just words that reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 28 September.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 29 September - and I will have a new Guest Designer joining me.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Please remember also to have a look at my CHNC page on facebook - if you do go there please join in by clicking 'like' so that I know that you've been there - The 'likes' are gradually increasing - I would love to get to at least 100 by Christmas, so please join in if you can. During the week you'll find updates and hints of the next challenge - please feel free to chat there - I know that some of you do already - thank you.
