For today's challenge I'm asking you to use a ribbon and/or charm on your Christmas card.

When I say 'ribbon' I really mean anything that comes on a spool, so it would be OK to use twine, lace, ric rac or anything similar. And it's your choice whether you use a charm - either instead of the ribbon or in addition.

CHNC challenge 60: create a scene

The weeks are going by with their usual speed and we're already heading towards the end of February. Once again this past week there have been lovely entries for my challenge. For today's challenge I'm asking you to create a scene on your Christmas card.

You can create a snowy scene, an indoor scene ... anything within reason, as the main function of this challenge is to help you to get an early start with making your Christmas cards.

For my card I've used the digital image 'Christmas heart' which was kindly given to me by Digi Doodle Shop, just one of the Christmas images that they stock.I've kept to a simple design, printing out the digital image quite big - I coloured with promarkers and added the text in the circle using Christmas is love by tlc creations. Papers are K & Co Secret Santa.I then added the epoxy hearts in the corners. You can see the card on my regular crafting blog My Crafty Outlook here and see the other challenges I entered with it.

Big apology to anyone who looked at this post earlier this morning - I had to abandon preparing this last night because I was unwell, so, unfortunately, it went live this morning with the wrong information about the winner (it was last week's - I obviously intended to revise it. CHNC challenge 54: give it a new lease of life!

I want to thank everyone who made last year such a success for my challenge blog. I do hope that you still have enthusiasm for making Christmas cards throughout the year - it's not too early to start now!

I hope you have made a resolution to make Christmas cards throughout the year to ease that sense of panic as it gets near to the end of the year and you realise that you need more Christmas cards. So please don't pack away your Christmas cardmaking supplies - keep them out to hand throughout the year. and get busy with those cards - joining in my challenges will help you achieve this.

It could well be that you've taken down your Christmas cards and have spotted a few bits and pieces that would be just right to incorporate into a new card. Or perhaps you had some wrapping paper, packaging, ribbon or wrappers from crackers that are too good to just put in the recycling rubbish bin. I'd like you to give someting a new lease of life and recycle it - use it on a new Christmas card.
