CHNC challenge 105: anything goes

What a wonderful lot of entries for last week's challenge 104 - to be honest, I wasn't sure whether anyone would have the time or inclination to join in, so it was truly encouraging to see so many participating - thank you.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 104. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 77: Bettina
who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Bettina. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to claim your 3 single digi images from The Crafty Pad.

Challenge 105
For today's challenge I'm asking you to show any Christmas card that we haven't seen before or make a start on your cards for next Christmas!

I'm very pleased that today's challenge is being sponsored by:

Lou of Creative Craft World writes:

'Creative Craft World, is an online shop run by myself. It started off life as an ebay shop 6 years ago and has just grown over the years. I love scrapbooking and it has encouraged me to do things I never had before and I love being able to provide you all with craft products at reasonable prices.'

I need to confirm the actual contents of the prize - I will add this when I can.

For my card I used some of the offcut left over from the card I showed last week, together with some ribbon,  a sentiment strip etc and a Kanban topper from long ago (some of these should be used up) - you can read more about it here on My Crafty Outlook:

Just adding another card I made today (Wednesday) - details here on My Crafty Outlook:

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week please show any Christmas card that we haven't seen before or make a start on cards for next Christmas - I know that some of you have already started to do this. If you didn't do this last year and were in a panic towards Christmas, why not make a New Year's resolution to make Christmas cards throughout the year?

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 4 January.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 5 January.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone
a very Happy New Year.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Don't forget that 'anything goes' monthly challenges start on my Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra blog on Tuesday1 January - you can share any Christmas card you make throughout the whole month and at the end of the month there will be a prize for the randomly chosen winner! I will be joined by a guest designer.

Of course, weekly challenges will continue here - and anything you enter here can also be entered on the new monthly blog as well - so you will always have two chances of winning a prize.

CHNC challenge 104: anything goes for Christmas

Wow! You broke the record for the number of entries with last week's challenge 103 - obviously many of you, like me, still had Christmas cards that you needed to make. Thank you for all your support and wonderful crafting that I get to see as I look at all your entries.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 103. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 64: Corrinne Quinn
who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Corrinne. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so that I can arrange for you to choose and receive your CD rom from Ooh la la Creations .

Now on to today's new challenge:

Challenge 104

For today's challenge I'm asking you to make
any last minute Christmas card or any card that you made but didn't show before - anything goes as long as it's Christmas

Just adding on Christmas Eve - if you've finished your Christmas cards (you should have done by now) you can make a New Year card and show that ... or start on cards for next Christmas!

And this week's challenge is being sponsored by The Crafty Pad, who are offering 3 single digi images to the randomly-chosen prize winner.

I am so grateful to all the sponsors who are so generous with their support.

I made a very quick card using elements from a 'My Paper Stash' kit - so awkward to get a photo because everything is made from mirror card that just reflects so much. You can see it here on My Crafty Outlook.

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 28 December.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 29 December.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Please remember also to have a look at my CHNC page on facebook - if you do go there please join in by clicking 'like' so that I know that you've been there. During the week you'll find updates and hints of the next challenge - please feel free to chat there - I know that some of you do already - thank you.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas

Thank you for your support

Even though I've been making cards throughout the year, I still needed to make quite a few yesterday and the day before (need 35 for John to send to the members of his bowls club), so I resorted to making batches using Anna Griffin supplies.

Here are some of them - more details here on My Crafty Outlook:

You all certainly pulled the stops out to produce so many beautiful girlie cards - lots of different styles and ideas - I enjoyed looking at them all.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge - they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT   for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

For my card I've used the Bugaboo 'reindeer skate' image kindly supplied by Bugaboo Stamps - you can read more about my card on My Crafty Outlook here:

Christmas card girlie

Today's challenge is being generously sponsored once again by Whoopsi Daisy - the randomly-picked winner will receive their choice of two sheets from Linnie's Whoopsi Daisy shop.

Whoopsi Daisy Digi Stamps features all hand drawn images by the amazing Linnie
and specialises in cute images of children.
Whoopsi Daisy offers a great deal for your money.
Take a look at the
where you are certain to find awesome images which will fit all your creative needs.

For my card I used an image of Rosie from Daisy & friends (a CD designed by Linnie), digitally cropping around her to cut out the white background, doing the same with the postbox image and then digitally mounting on to a snow scene, adding some extra snow by using transparency fade, adding the sentiment and then printing it all out and mounting on a red card blank. I added some stickles diamond to the edging of Rosie's coat and hat and a bit of liquid pearls white opal to some of the snow. More about this here on My Crafty Outlook.

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week please make make any Christmas card you like as long as it is 'girlie' - I leave you to interpret that how you wish - little 'girlie' or grown up 'girlie' - the choice is yours!
